If you're not in agreement with your school or LA about how best to meet your child's special educational needs you should first talk to your school or LA. If you still can't agree you can get in touch with your LA Parent Partnership Officer who will give you independent advice. Your school or LA will be able to give you their telephone number.
They might suggest you look at our video 'Every child is different' which shows how schools can meet a range of special needs. The video is available in 8 other languages and every LA in the region has copies for loan. Additional copies can be bought from Supernova Learning.
If you still can't resolve things they might suggest going to mediation. All LAs are required by law to provide access to independent disagreement resolution services, and in the South East region these are contracted out to Global Mediation through the partnership.
